Abstract
To explore the neurotherapeutic effects of Ziziphus jujuba honey fractions on hyperglycemia-induced cognitive dysfunction in mice. Mice were treated with STZ to induce hyperglycemia and given honey fractions for three weeks. Behavioral and biochemical tests were conducted to assess cognitive function and glucose levels. Honey fractions reduced blood glucose, modulated TLR4 and NF-kB activation, and improved cognitive performance in STZ-treated mice. Ziziphus jujuba honey fractions are effective in mitigating hyperglycemia-induced cognitive decline and neurodegeneration.
